Notice of Public Open House #2 for the Mayer Waste Facility Expansion Environmental Assessment Mayer Waste Management (781998 Ontario Inc.) has initiated an environmental assessment (EA) under the Environmental Assessment Act , R.S.O. 1990 c. E.18 (EAA), to increase the total approved capacity at the Mayer Waste Disposal Site (Site) in Hawkesbury, Ontario by 650,000 m 3 . The proposed increase would not change the approved type or annual volume of waste currently accepted at the Site and will allow Mayer Waste Management to continue to receive solid non- hazardous domestic and industrial waste and provide cost-effective and environmentally sound waste disposal to local customers. The environmental assessment will assess the potential effects of the proposed landfill expansion on the environment and surrounding community to ensure it can be safely developed. Le Musée canadien de la guerre a annoncé dimanche le décès de son historien en chef et directeur de la recherche. La présidente-directrice générale du musée, Caroline Dromaguet, a confirmé le décès dans un communiqué, affirmant que Tim Cook avait «joué une fonction détermi- nante pour que le Musée devienne ce qu’il est aujourd’hui». Members of the public, agencies, Indigenous communities and other interested persons are encouraged to actively participate in the planning process by attending consultation opportunities or contacting staff directly with comments or questions. Events are planned throughout the EA process and will be advertised on the project website, through local newspapers and direct mail.
You are invited to attend the second public open house of the EA phase to learn about the results of the comparative evaluation of the considered expansion options and the expansion option recommended. The open house will be ‘walk-in’ format with information display boards.
