Health care is a key economic driver of the regional economy with the health care and education super- sectors combined accounting for nearly 88,000 jobs in Oklahoma — total of 14% of the state’s workforce. Dr. Lynda Chin, president and CEO of Apricity Health, and a renowned cancer genomic scientist and a leader in application of technologies, AI/ML and big data in medicine, will be the keynote speaker at the Chamber’s annual State of Health event on May 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum.

In her keynote address, “The Landscape and Future of Digital Medicine,” Dr. Chin will discuss precision medicine, barriers to its progress and the challenges that must be met to facilitate better outcomes for patients. Building evidence and trust is key, Dr. Chin explains, as is developing an infrastructure that allows more clinicians to take part in the process. Also during the event, local health care leaders will discuss the impact of the past year on their organizations and the industry outlook for 2023 and beyond.
