BSS was the main supplier of pipework, fittings and pumps for the refurbishment, remodelling and extension project at The Rabbit Hotel & Retreat, Templepatrick by BSS’ long-standing contract partner, Hanna Mechanical. The two companies have worked together on a range of prestigious projects, including the extensive renovation of the historic Grand Opera House and new build projects such as the Porsche Centre at Titanic Quarter, Belfast.

Heatboss were tasked with enabling room level control of the heating throughout the Rabbit Hotel. The Heatboss heating management system gives direct control of the heating within each individual room, simply and securely managed through any web- enabled device such as PC, laptop, tablet, or smart phone. Unlike conventional heating controls that heat multiple rooms to the same target temperature, the intelligent Heatboss device and web application enables optimised control of energy usage by ensuring heating is on in each individual room, only when and where it is required. Heatboss previously worked with the Galgorm Group on its new build and renovated cottage projects in 2019 and wanted the same ease of control and efficiencies within the Rabbit Hotel.
