HOUSE GEOGRAPHY COMPETITION The Greatest Place on Earth
n This year saw the launch of a new House competition – House Geography. The theme was ‘The Greatest Place on Earth’ with the aim for the boys to research a location, town, or city that they think is the best place on earth. All boys were tasked with writing about the human and physical geography aspects of their location. They were also asked to include the senses, such as what can you hear at this location. Further comments were required on whether the location is well-visited; how is it set up for visitors or how can it be developed if more people are visiting. The competition had an excellent participation rate with nearly everyone participating, which made for a tight final points count for places. Well done to Howard and Spenser who were joint winners for House Geography this year. We hope to be able to showcase your son’s entry, along with everyone in the Junior School, on the same day as the Celebration Concerts.
