Since this is the last Oracle of the season, and we have just had our Annual Membership meeting, where I was reelected to serve as your Board President, I would like to recap some of the information from my opening statement. Thank you to our General Manager, Ed Vitrano, for giving 110 % every day. He will be the first to say that he is not perfect, but he sure strives to be. I would also like to thank all our staff for maintaining our beautiful Resort throughout the season for our enjoyment. I would also like to thank all nine candidates that put their names forward to run for the Board and to congratulate the winners: Danny Hall, Steve Farley, Ralph Joiner, and David Quick.

In March 2022, I was elected to be President of our Board and I had some ambitious goals. I wanted to address and tackle many of the difficult issues that had been discussed in the past years but never acted on. Issues that the majority of owners felt needed to be changed to allow our Resort to move forward and once again become the most desirable RV Resort in the country. Those issues have been addressed by this board and our Resort is once again becoming the place everyone wants to be a part of and our property values continue to rise. One of our first issues was approving a budget for the upcoming year during a time of 8.5% increase in the cost of living. With the advice and recommendations of the Finance Committee, our HOA increase was only 5.5%, while other Resorts in the area were closer to a 20% increase. This Board approved doing two years of sealing, coating, and gutter replacement in just one summer, saving the Resort tens of thousands of dollars by avoiding increasing inflationary prices. This Board also approved increasing security with controlled exiting to make further golf cart thefts more difficult. This Board also approved the construction of our new dog park that opened in November. This is another great Resort amenity to attract renters and new owners.
