In conjunction with the Estates Manager and PFI / Soft Services Contract Manager Safe Spaces
• Provide professional services to the network and individual schools, ensuring the Trust complies with relevant property legislation, regulations and guidance. Implement plans to address any inconsistencies in approach. • Oversee the development of all policies and procedures concerning the Trust’s estate. • Oversee all aspects of health and safety, leading on the management, monitoring and maintenance of the health and safety of the estate, promoting a positive culture. (To include: fire, legionnaire management, and services testing). Effective Services • Support the Trusts PFI Contract Manager with contract oversight. • Oversee the delivery of soft services across the Trust, and develop these to support the Estate. • Contracts: Review existing contracts for services, works and material supply. Source reputable suppliers where required to ensure a high-quality value for money service is provided to the Trust by all its suppliers and external partners. • Maintenance - Review existing maintenance procedures, records and systems recommending and implementing improvements. Ensure oversight of condition, maintenance expenditure and life cycle costs. Develop management plans and budgets for local management and central monitoring. • Lettings: Oversight of this service to ensure all hirers of school premises are operating in line with appropriate regulations. Advise and support schools re lettings procedures and how to maximise lettings income. Reporting • Provide timely and accurate information and advice to the Trust Board and committees on estate performance and strategy including programming of expenditure against capital allocations.
• Ensure completion of statutory and sector reports. • Develop and manage a trust wide asset register. Other
• Be outward facing and establish strong links within the Trust and other organisations. • Collaborate in order to share expertise and bring positive benefits to our and other schools.
Supervision / Line Management responsibilities of the post Direct line management of: • Estates Contract Manager. • PFI Contract Manager. As a member of the Business Executive Team work in collaboration to ensure there is quality line management for the entire Estates and Facilities team. Working Environment & Conditions of the post • Travel to different sites. • The postholder may be required to travel and work within any school across the Ted Wragg Multi Academy Trust.
