Please note that dance classes are held indoors and in- person. Masks are not required for students or instructors at this time, however we strongly encourage them. Ages listed in class titles are suggestions, not restrictions. For more information about our policies, calendar, attire, and more, please visit callanwoldedance.com. Dance Courses
Building toward fluency in ballet terminology and principles of alignment while adding contemporary release technique into floor work and modern dance phrases. Increase challenges in performance choreography. Ballet attire with convertible tights is required for a quick transition into modern. Please note that students stay in a foundational level (namely levels 2- 5) for more than one year. Students generally move up as a class. This class will be performing in the Foundations Holiday Show on December 4 with a dress rehearsal on November 29. Tuition includes a $80 performance fee. FOUNDATIONS BALLET & MODERN 3/4 (AGES 8-12)
Classes now conducted on an intermediate/advanced level in both ballet and modern. Preliminary pre-pointe work continued. Ballet attire with convertible tights is required for a quick transition into modern. Students stay in a foundational level (namely levels 2- 6) for more than one year. Students generally move up as a class. This class will be performing in the Foundations Holiday Show on December 4 with a dress rehearsal on November 29. Tuition includes a $80 performance fee. PRE-BALLET & MODERN 2 (AGES 6-7)
The flow of class will include basic barre, ballet vocabulary (the further learning of positions etc.), stretch and physical expression with an introduction to Modern dance! All of this prepares students for future study in dance. Dance attire and ballet shoes are required.

Ballet barre, ballet center, introduction to modern dance with essential guidance in movement exploration and discovery! Ballet attire with convertible tights is required for a quick transition into modern. Please note that students stay in a foundational level (namely levels 2-5) for more than one year. Students generally move up as a class. This class will be performing in the Foundations Holiday Show on December 4 with a dress rehearsal on November 29. Tuition includes a $80 performance fee. Continuation of the Winter/Spring 2022 Intermediate Hip Hop course. This is an intermediate level class that introduces dancers to the most current trends in industry grooves. Students must have taken Intermediate Hip Hop in the Winter/Spring 2022 session or have taken a previous Hip Hop class to enroll. Please note that students stay in the intermediate level for more than one year. Activewear recommended. INTERMEDIATE HIP HOP 2 (AGES 10-15)
