We would first like to extend a sincere thank you to our past customers for their continued loyalty and support of our program. It is truly an honor to host this sale each year and to work with cattlemen who believe in what we do. We are excited to present this year’s offering, featuring 90 head of purebred Simmental and SimAngus bulls, along with 28 bred heifers. This set offers something for everyone—from high-quality growth bulls to proven heifer bulls. These cattle come from the 300-head Simmental herd we have built over the years, with a strong emphasis on consistency and real- world performance. Our program remains focused on producing cattle that work for our commercial customers. We believe the combination of acceptable calving ease and birth weight, paired with high growth and strong maternal backing, is the foundation of a successful cow herd. We feel this year’s bulls and bred heifers are a true reflection of that commitment.
We truly want these bulls to work for you long after sale day. We will keep bulls free of charge until April 1st, after which delivery will be arranged. We also stand behind our cattle and are willing to work with our customers to resolve any issues that may arise. This marks our third year hosting the sale at our new facility, and we look forward to welcoming you on February 17th. This Special Ops son leads off our sire group, and we have been extremely impressed with the consistency and look in this calf crop. He is one of two flush brothers out of the D662 donor, who has been a cornerstone in our program for years. That cow has raised bulls like QB Dialed In, QB Black Gold, QB Imprint, and QB First Draft, and she stamps them with quality every time. This is the bigger of the two flush brothers and he reads as a true power bull. He posted a weaning weight just over 800 pounds, showing the kind of growth that will push the scales down. He is long-bodied, deep-sided, and carries a really big, square hip. When you study him from the ground up, it is very hard to find a hole in this calf.

This calf ranks in the top 1% of the breed in seven different EPDs, giving him a standout genetic profile. His 11-year-old dam is still working in the herd with a 366-day calving interval and eight calves reported, six of them bulls. Four of those six bulls have already sold through this sale, showing how consistent this cow family is. A full brother to this calf sold for $12,500 to Gulleson Ranch.

This bull is backed by a powerful cow family, with both his dam and granddam proving themselves as highly consistent producers. His granddam is still working hard in the herd and is represented again this year with Lot 39 in the sale. His dam, J130, has raised three bull calves to date, and every one of them has made and sold through this sale. Her very first calf went on to Spruce Hill Ranch, adding to the credibility of this line. On paper, this bull is equally impressive, with 10 EPDs ranking in the top 20% of the breed.

This calf is extremely stout and comes out of a cow that Kacey Holm purchased from Klain Simmental Ranch. Like the other Special Ops sons, he carries the same attractive traits. He has a big, strong top and is wide from behind with a lot of eye appeal. On top of that, he is very free and easy moving, making him a complete package in the pen.

We start this group with a flush calf out of the long-staying B452 cow, who raised one of last year’s high sellers that went to TNT Simmentals and Crosshair Simmentals. This calf has one of the higher weaning weights in the pen. He is sired by a bull we purchased from TNT Simmentals a couple years ago. His dam has a good udder and a 107 weaning ratio on her calves. He reads as a complete, balanced kind that should work in a lot of programs.

This bull’s dam has been an excellent cow for years, selling four bulls through this sale, with last year’s calf going to Tracy Burgod. Her daughter also produced the Lot 4 calf this year. This calf is long- bodied with plenty of stretch. He should add growth and practical pounds.
