Welcome to the 15th annual Talkington Angus Ranch Bull Sale. We are extremely grateful for your interest in our program and past patronage. We are proud to offer this uniform and honest set of thick, stout, Angus bulls. We are extremely excited about this set of bulls. This is our largest bull offering to date as our registered cow numbers continue to grow and we have restarted our ET program. You will see sire groups that you have seen here in the past, such as SAV Territory 7225, Coleman Big Country 260, and Coleman Authority 175, all of which are highly maternal performance bulls, and low birth weight sire groups like Coleman Easy Decision 1539 and E&B Essential. We are excited to offer 3 new calving ease sire groups in SAT Bravo 063, Montana Klondike 2212, and BCC Rapport. There are also two flushes that we are thrilled to present out of Coleman Donna 5309, our selection from their 2023 female sale. She is best known as the grandam of Coleman Easy Decision, there will be sons by Coleman Charlo 0256 and SAV Throttle 2961. These bulls are developed with longevity and fertility in mind; they are not creep fed and they are grown and developed in a sensible manner. The goal is to raise bulls that last, not to see how much condition we can put on them by sale day. The bulls are fully guaranteed for the first breeding season, are freeze branded for permanent identification, have been genomically tested to create the most accurate EPD’s possible, and are all parent verified. Our cow herd is fertile, functional, and easy fleshing. We run and treat our registered cows just like our commercial cows and our customers cows. We believe the most important drivers to profitability in the cow-calf business are fertility and longevity. Cows must get pregnant every year on a timely basis, year after year, to be profitable. If she does not, she leaves, no excuses, no second chances. We believe in a balanced trait, maternal philosophy. We focus on traits like udder quality, foot quality, dispositions, maternal instinct, and fertility, all things that we take for granted here, but realize that is not the case everywhere.
