This playground has several benches and picnic tables and accessible parking and washrooms. If you want to commemorate a special occasion, whether it’s a graduation, wedding, or simply the day spent with family or friends, Springbank Park offers many scenic spots. Some popular sites include the Guy Lombardo Pavilion and the Civic Gardens Complex. Barn doors near the Complex are a unique photo op in a newly renovated park space that has become a hotspot for photos. Best of all, you don’t need to pre-book your photo shoot in these outdoor spots. There are various components of Springbank Park that you can rent for exclusive group use, however, such as the sports fields and Dunn With Cancer Run/Walk Allison Dunn grew up in Byron attending St. Theresa and STA before going to University. At the beginning of 2020, Allison was living her best life—a 33-year-old mother of three, devoted to helping those in need. She was doing exactly what she was meant to do. But in February 2020, everything changed when Allison was diagnosed with grade 4 glioblastoma, a highly aggressive brain cancer. Despite undergoing six weeks of chemotherapy and radiation, the treatments had little effect. Allison passed away peacefully on June 17th, 2020, just shy of four months after her diagnosis. The fifth annual DUNN with Cancer Run will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Springbank Park.
