everyone likes to give presents at this time?” “ Yes, Santa .Claus sends them. This was one opportunity to tell the sweet story of the Babe at Bethlehem and the great gift of God’s love to us. The child listened with all his little heart. He said he had never heard about Jesus and what Christmas really meant before. We passed one street to finish the story which was being so eagerly taken in and prayed that the little child might really receive Jesus as his Sayiour. Opportunities are ever presenting themselves and if we could but realize that in this city there are many children who have never been to Sunday School and are as ignorant of the Gospel as the heathen, surely we should buy up our opportunities. * * * * Rejoicing In the New Life She was just a nominal Christian, this young married woman, when God laid His hand on her baby and took her to Himself. Then God, in His infinite wisdom, led her into a neighborhood where the Word of God was honored In the Sunday School, and she became so hungry for the Word that she asked permission to join our “ Girls* Club meeting in the neighborhood, and as she studied the Word of God her life deepened and broadened, until it took in her neighbors. The Lord had at the same time been laying these neighbors upon the heart of the Bible woman, who was her Sunday School teacher. They counselled together, and prayed, until the younger woman volunteered to go out among the neighbors and bring them in if the Bible woman would teach the class, and she kept her word, bring ing into the first class, (and that before Christmas when women are so busy) eight women, all needing the Word of God to meet the problems in their lives, while others had promised to attend the next meeting. “We read The King’s Business until it is rags” she said, and “ whereas we used to be looking for some way in which to spend our Sun days, now we areu so busy we hardly know how to get through Sunday, with

A. class was formed,^?a Bible Woman given the privilege of teaching it and week after week since then eager young people have spent one hour each Sunday afternoon- exploring the trea sures of the Book. Its power to grip and hold the interest and give direction to the life is already evident; three of the class members are regularly enroll ed students of the Institute, one attends the Evening School and a busy day- school teacher finds time for the les- sons -of the Correspondence Course. Another evidence of the power of God’s Word was afforded by a testi mony given recently by a Christian woman in conversation with her Bible teacher. She said: "I have promised myself the pleasure of re-reading cer tain books which I at one time greatly enjoyed reading. But whenever lei- sure comes for any book I can not resist the fascination of the Bible. It holds and thrills me anew with each return to it, and I only hope it will never lose its freshness and its power.” Thank God, it never will! Opportunity Ever Present It was Christmas Eve. Coming from the city, the cars were loaded with peo ple all carrying parcels. We made room for a small boy of about seven years, proudly carrying a small pot of flowers. The child looked up several times inviting conversation so we began, “ Aren’t you glad that Christmas comes once a year?” “ Yes, but I wish it came twice!” “ Do you know why [ ESS than two years ago the young people of a certain Christian Endeavor Society I became conscious of their need of a better knowledge of the
