hope he will occupy the pulpit of the Church of the Open Door in September. AN INDIAN BIBLE INSTITUTE H BURDEN has been placed on my heart for the conserving of the work of the missionaries in America who are devoting themselves to the evangeliza tion of the real Americans, the Indians! Many of the Indians who have turned to Christ have not had enough educa tion to take the courses offered by the great Bible Institutes of Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia or Minneapolis, but their hearts are on fire for Christ, and some of the most beautiful test!-’ monies I have ever heard have come from these sons and daughters of the desert. The need at present is for funds suf ficient to erect buildings and organize an Institute where the Indian Chris tians can come and have their expenses all paid, and there be taught the deep things of God. The organizations at present in the field are not operating on the basis of a statement of doctrine,' and while there are more real evangel icals in the missionary work in Arizona than in any. other Indian field, per capita of missionaries, there is no guar antee in the event of their death, that destructive modernists shall not be sent out by the denominational boards who will deny the Lord that bought them, and spend their time in telling them that the Bible is not the Word of God, and that the shed blood of Jesus Christ is not necessary for the salvation of lost men. Arizona is the logical place for The American Indian Bible Institute. The climate is right, and Indian Christians who may be weak from, tubercular ten dencies can live there in tent houses and grow strong. The Indians have not been given a square deal! They have been made to suffer from the political jugglery of the bigoted priests, who have not taught them that they must give up their heathen vices when they become Catholics. Instead they have actually taken on more cunning methods of engaging in sin, after ac cepting the paganism of Rome. French E. Oliver.

ians, one for the Christian Scientists, one for the Spiritists, one for the Theoso- phists-------” etc,, etc. Some other ministers are openly denying that Christ ever went to Heaven. They de-i clare He is still here on earth. Beal Thing Is Scarce With ecclesiastical pest houses liter ally spreading theological small-pox, and the city under Jewish and Catholic influence, and scores of thousands who never attend a religious meeting of any type, the influence of the city is easily comparable with Sodom or Pompeii. The boast of San Francisco has been that she is the Paris of America. This means that the great city is a menace morally and religiously to all the West. There are a few pastors in small churches who stand for the old time Gospel of the grace of God, and salva tion through the blood of Christ, but they are not in influential churches. Sir Oliver Lodge was invited into the pul pit of the “ popular” church when he was there, and addresses endorsing Spiritism have been given from that same pulpit for several weeks, I was told when I was there recently. If some people have the money to get back of a definite witness for Christ in San Francisco, the City Tabernacle is worthy of the support of God’s people. I would like to urge the people to pray for San Francisco. French E. Speak- 1 ing of the meetings at New townwards, he says: “ Over 1200 adults decided for Christ, about three men to every woman. Two publicans are not going to renew their licenses again, and other publicans had their families converted. Drunkards and Pharisees were converted. The devil was clear rip, raging mad. I have been in Lurgan and Portadown cheering and confirming the converts of previous meetings. It is fine to see the good work go on, sometimes in spite of ministers. It is so good of the Lord to honor my work in my own country and among my own people.” He has been urged to remain in Ire land for another year, but the need for him in this country is great, and we
