Hello Club Members, My first nine months with Precious Moments Family of Companies has been quite a whirlwind! As you can imagine, I’ve been learning the business, meeting customers, getting to know our employees both in Itasca, IL and Carthage, MO, and helping solve our day to day business issues. It’s been both exhausting and fun, and I’m truly happy to be part of a company that is all about love, kindness, inspiration, family, sharing, and preserving the best moments of our lives. Precious Moments is that special constant in our busy, hectic, rapidly changing world. So, what do the next six months look like? Well, for Precious Moments to remain healthy, we must seek out new markets and audiences, introducing even more people to what we know is a pretty special brand. Collectively, our team spends much of its time doing just that. So, there are three key things I’m focused on. The first is managing the “channel shift” going on in the marketplace. I’m sure you all have noticed the continuing transition from traditional brick & mortar retailers to the internet. How to best navigate this dynamic marketplace keeps us on our toes. Second, the team is working on getting better at how we present our products directly to you through www.PreciousMoments.com and our catalogs. The digital and print marketing world changes rapidly, and we must constantly step up our game to be successful in giving you the top-notch experience you’ve come to expect. Third, product innovation is another key to our company’s future. Club Members like you appreciate the Precious Moments history, but also enjoy new ideas, so we diligently work to keep our products fresh and new, so they delight you! My job is to successfully lead our team in managing our channel shift dynamics, improving in our direct marketing effort, and driving product innovation. If we do those three things well, we will ensure the Precious Moments brand is vital and strong for many years to come so that we may continue to Share the Gift of Love!
