Paxton leases 143,440 s/f in Plaza 500 in Alexandria, VA NGKF closes one of the largest industrial lease transactions in Greater Washington DC

LEXANDRIA, VA — Newmark Grubb K n i g h t F r a n k (NGKF) announced that it completed one of the largest in- dustrial lease transactions in the Greater DC Metropolitan area this year, totaling 143,440 s/f in Plaza 500 in Alexandria, VA on behalf of Paxton Van Lines, Inc. (Paxton). Execu- tive managing director Larry FitzGerald represented Pax- ton in its original 107,313 s/f lease transaction three years ago in Plaza 500, which has now been renewed and ex- panded by 36,127 s/f. Earlier this year FitzGerald repre- sented Paxton, headquartered in Springfield, VA, in the sale of 32 acres of M1 land A RICHMOND, VA — Ger- ald S. Divaris, chairman and CEO of Divaris Real Es- tate, Inc. (DRE) , announced the signing of six leases to- taling 35,457 s/f of new and renewed commercial space in central Virginia. Negotiations were handled by the agents of DRE’s Richmond office. Rite Aid renewed its lease for 13,652 s/f of retail space in the Divaris-leased and -managed 360 West Shopping Center located at 7228 Hull Street Rd. in Richmond. Rite Aid is the largest drugstore chain on the East Coast and the third-largest in the United States, employing roughly 89,000 associates. House of Hair renewed its lease for 2,079 s/f of retail space in 360 West Shopping Center as well. The pharmacy and beauty sa- lon are joined by co-tenants in 360 West that include: Dollar General, AutoZone, Subway, and Cricket Wireless. DRE’s Sara Goodall represented the landlord, HSW, LLC and RMW2, LLC, in both lease renewals. Epic Healthcare leased 8,844 s/f of office space in the Divaris-leased and –managed Fountain Park located at 9325 Midlothian Turnpike in Richmond. The Epic Health
