EARLY DETECTION IS KEY
HOW THE IVYGENE TEST CAN HELP YOU F IGHT CANCER
When you feel a cold coming on, you attack it right away, preparing and equipping your body to fight it as swiftly as possible. Unfortunately, sometimes we don’t think that way about chronic diseases, and instead we ignore the symptoms, putting off treatment until we absolutely need it. Cancer is definitely not one of the diseases we should ignore, and as scientists and doctors often say, early detection puts patients in the best possible position for treatment. At The Livewell Clinic, we value our patients’ overall health and wellness, and unfortunately, part of that means addressing the possibility of developing cancer. We want you to be just as prepared for that as when you battle a cold, so that’s why the clinic offers patients the IvyGene Test for early cancer detection. This simple blood test uses non-cell DNA to identify the presence of cancer and provide information about the disease. Measurements on the normal processing of DNA — called methylation — will identify cancer’s presence. The test can detect cancers in as early as the first stage, and it is validated for breast, colon, liver, and lung cancers.
The test can assist in the detection of an additional 20 cancers, and research to validate these other cancers is progressing.
The earlier we can catch the disease, the sooner you can start doing something about it and attack it before it spreads. Furthermore, at The Livewell Clinic, we can begin an effective holistic regimen to equip you with the strength you will need to battle the disease. For the month of October, we will be offering this test for $200 off. To learn more about how we can get you prepared for your fight, call The Livewell Clinic at 515.279.9900 or visit thelivewellclinic.com .
