even deeper; she is a 1978 graduate of Country Day School of the Sacred Heart Overbrook. Beth served the Lower School community with energy, purpose, and a faith-filled heart throughout her tenure. The indelible mark on the community results from Beth’s ability to create supportive and loving learning environments in which young girls have the opportunity to develop to their fullest capacity. Her legacy at Sacred Heart Academy Bryn Mawr is reflected in the many students and families she touched through her gifts in the teaching profession. Beth’s kindness, sense of humor, and fidelity to the Sacred Heart Goals and Criteria will be dearly missed in our community. . The SHA community celebrated Beth Porter’s legacy at both Sacred Heart Overbrook and Sacred Heart Academy Bryn Mawr at a Mass and reception in Beth’s honor during Heartcoming on September 30, 2023. age with regard to academic, security, and business technologies. Sandy’s kindness, patience, and calm approach were invaluable and she is truly missed in our community. Erin Delosso , a beloved Grade 1 teacher, stepped away
from teaching last fall after 15 years at SHA. Erin’s young students thrived under her teaching expertise, care, and understanding. She saw them as individuals and worked diligently to create lessons and activities to reach their specific academic, social, and emotional needs. Erin demonstrated through word
and example her gifts as a Sacred Heart Educator. Erin’s love of the environment played out in the Lower School Green Club. Her signature program was the Eco Plastics of Delaware disposable bags and bottle cap drive. This year, the students collected enough to purchase a bench made from recycled materials. We are awaiting its arrival. Beth Porter ‘78, colleague and former Lower School Director said, “I am so grateful for all that Erin brought to our Lower School and to me. She touched the lives of many during her time here at SHA, and for that, we are all blessed. Best wishes Erin!”
