God's terms Perhaps the greatest truth that w e can grasp is that God being God we must come to Him on His own terms. And there isn’t any other place to find out what those terms are other than the Bible. 5 :24 ) “ Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth m y word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into con demnation; but is passed from death unto life.” This is a state ment o f the terms God has cho sen to bring man into a correct walk with Himself. Christ' & your thirst 6 :35 ; 7:37 ) “ And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that be lieveth on me shall never thirst. “ In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.” This is the final answer for the terrible thirst o f the seeking soul. And you have found that bub bles are for those who are mere ly play-living. It matters little what has hap pened in your life up to this minute. Salvation was accom plished b y Jesus Christ on the cross. N ow in this instant of history you can exert your will to either accept or reject what God has already done for you. You don’t have to understand the w ay to salvation perfectly. N o man ever has. Only one thing is required of you. Just to
