Ardmag 'World Mental Health Day' Edition : Oct 2022

Oct 2022

At Ardmac, we are aware of the challenges within our sector in relation to mental health and encourage a positive mental health approach across our organisation. “The {construction} industry has some of the worst rates of suicide in the UK and Ireland, with male construction workers 2.7 times more likely to die by suicide than the average person.” That is why on October 9th, the Ardmac team, our clients, competitors, and friends from across the construction industry came together for Cycle for Hope 2022, which raises vital funds for our appointed charity Pieta House. Cycle for Hope is something tangible Ardmac can do to raise awareness of the services available for those who are struggling with their mental health. Mental health is indiscriminatory and affects people in all walks of life. If you are struggling with your mental health, there are many resources available to help. Ardmac, please remember to treat the people you interact with kindness; you never know what hardships people are carrying and no act of kindness however small, is wasted.
