Background: Time and again our owners tell us they were sold on our resort when they drove in the front gate, turned right, and saw the golf course, the flowers, the palm trees and the mountains. An unknown number of potential buyers present themselves unannounced at the front desk or at security and ask to tour the resort. At present, the front desk and security department do not have authority to issue a visitor’s pass to allow these prospective buyers or renters to take a self-guided driving tour through the resort. The ambassador program is nice when we have it but only operates during limited hours and days. We have a large inventory of unsold lots. We have lot rentals. We are missing an opportunity to show our resort to an unknown number of potential buyers or renters. I suggest a trial, where data will be collected and reported to the Board, including, how many such passes were issued, any negative behavior exhibited by such visitors, feedback from our realtors, feedback from the visitors, etc. An information package will be provided to each visitor including a copy of the resort brochure, a copy of the Oracle, a one-page summary of our HOA rules, and a list of our realtors or documents provided by the realtors for the package. Motion for Consideration: To authorize a one-month trial, until the April Board meeting, in which security and the front office will issue a 30-minute self-guided drive-through pass to visitors under the prescribed collection/distribution methods above.
