The blue represents both the water of Baptism as well as Eternal Life in Heaven. The fish is an ancient symbol of Christianity. In Greek, the word for fish is “ichthys”, and each letter of this word signifies the phrase: “Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior”. SERIES # 47F

This gold and white design was inspired by several passages from Scripture, emphasizing the great light and beauty of God’s saving love.
God promises us in the Old Testament that a Messiah will come to save his people – a promise fulfilled by Jesus in the New Testament. Jesus is the living embodiment of God’s Promises – giving us a New Life, not just in this world, but in the next. The band of leaves represent this never-ending New Life in Jesus.
“Christ is Risen, He is Risen Indeed!” is a Paschal Greeting among Christians that originated centuries ago. Brilliant Gold is used in this cross design to signify how dazzled people were who first saw the newly-resurrected Jesus, that they failed to recognize him.
