STIMPOD 450X for Nerve Location and Neuromuscular Block Monitoring
A nerve stimulation device designed to be used by a specifically trained anesthetist during:
REGIONAL ANESTHESIA for nerve mapping using the noninvasive mapping probe (sold separately) and/or nerve locating using invasive electrodes (not sold by MILA) or needles (sold separately)
GENERAL ANESTHESIA to establish efficacy of a neuromuscular blocking agent using noninvasive surface electrodes (not sold by MILA)
OR
STIMPOD (Item #NB-STIM): • Adjustable current, pulse width, and twitch frequency • V isual and audible feedback is given when the target current and pulse width ranges are reached indicating probable nerve proximity • D isplays real time waveforms of the currents delivered. Pause mode allows changing stimulus parameters without stimulating • Non-linear current adjustment. User can pre-program 20 different current and pulse width settings NERVE MAPPING PROBE (Item #NBMP): • This cable is used to activate the Nerve Mapping/Locating mode on the STIMPOD • The red (anode) connector is designed to clip on to a standard ECG electrode • The ergonomically designed cutaneous Nerve Mapping Probe presents the user with a simple and reliable Nerve Mapping solution • The 2mm needle connector will accommodate the stimulating needles on page 65 or various other makes of needles TRI-AXIAL ACCELEROMETER (Item #NBCA): • P rovides real-time feedback of the strength of contraction of the affected limb (Train of Four, Double Burst and Post Tetanic Count modes only); the strength of each measured contraction is displayed graphically and the relevant ratios are calculated and displayed • The red (anode) and black (cathode) connectors are designed to clip onto a standard ECG electrode • The accelerometer is designed to attach to the contracted appendage CROCODILE CLIP (Item #NBCC): • Provides non-adhesive ground • G ently and securely clips to patient’s skin Items needed for BASIC NERVE STIMULATION: • STIMPOD (Item #NB-STIM) • Nerve Mapping Probe (Item #NBMP) • S timulating Needles (Item #NB2205, NB2108, or NB2110) Crocodile Clip is also needed but is included with item #NBMP.
