Two and three lumen sampling catheters enable a sterile specimen retrieval via an endoscope. To maintain sterility during placement, the outer catheter has a water-soluble plug in the tip. Once in place, the inner catheter is advanced, pushing out the water-soluble plug, then further advanced for retrieval of the sterile specimen.
