Welcome to Ponte Vedra
On behalf of the staff of the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute, I’d like to welcome you the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club for our Annual Meeting. The event features three award-winning speakers focused on the global economy, communication, and the 2024 elections – as well as plenty of time for networking, and the annual OPEI Louisville Golf Classic. We’re looking forward to a dynamic program this year, with sessions designed to give attendees insight into the economic and political trends that will shape the industry. And we’ve made sure to provide plenty of time for members to connect and network during your stay here. This week you’ll hear from: • Alan Beaulieu, President, ITR Economics: 2024-2025: A Changing Landscape • Robert Costa, Chief Election & Campaign Correspondent for CBS News: Brace for Turbulence: Inside Campaign 2024 • Charles Duhigg, two-time New York Times bestselling author and Pulitzer Prize-Winning columnist: Supercommunicators: The Power of Conversation and Hidden Language of Connection
We’re excited to share that OPEI will receive the Kentucky Humane Society’s Humane Hero Award for 2024. Pictured above is KHS CEO Alisa Gray with Kris Kiser at Mulligan’s Mutt Madness. The national dog adoption is held annually at Equip Exposition.
Our senior staff will also be on hand to brief you on key areas of association engagement, including: • 2024 Industry Safety Messaging Campaign Chuck Bowen, Vice President, Communications and Member Relations
• Equipment Bans and Restrictions: 2024 State of Play Greg Knott, Senior Vice President, Standards and Regulatory Affairs • Electrification Trends in Outdoor Power Equipment Brandon Martin, Vice President, Battery and Electric Products & Industry Affairs • OPEI Market Data & Forecasting – Opportunities for Member Engagement Dan Mustico, Senior Vice President, Government & Market Affairs
In addition to the business sessions, I hope you’ll join us for the annual OPEI Louisville Golf Classic. Golf has been a way of life since Ponte Vedra Inn & Club introduced the first course to the region in 1928. Today, Ponte Vedra is renowned as one of the golf capitals of the East Coast.
All the best,
