Pressure Fluid Safety module

The instructor shall:

Demonstrate how to perform component replacement safely and correctly in pressure systems:

Ensure good housekeeping

Ensure cleanliness

Torque up

Even after proving the pressure is zero, extreme caution must be taken when removing any component in case of trapped pressure Ask the participants key questions about how to preform component replacement safely and correctly in pressure system e.g.: How would the participants restate or summarize how to perform component replacement safely and correctly in pressure systems in their own words? What happened i.e., what actions were performed by the instructor to perform the component replacement safely and correctly?

Why were these actions performed?

The participants shall:

Engage in answering questions and share their understanding about how to perform component replacement safely and correctly in pressure systems.

The instructor shall:

Facilitate practice for the participants in performing component replacement safely and correctly in pressure systems and give construc tive feedback to the participants’ practice throughout .

The participants shall:

Practise performing component replacement safely and correctly in pressure systems.

ELEMENT 5.7 - SEARCHING FOR LEAKS IN A PRESSURIZED SYSTEM SAFELY

Learning objective:

The participants can act independently in searching for leaks in a pressurized system (using a paper or similar to avoid injection and keeping maximum distance) (Ability, intermediate level).

The instructor shall:

Present briefly how increasing the distance from a leakage minimize the probability of suffering an injection. Demonstrate how to search for leaks in a pressurised system (using a paper or similar to avoid injection and keeping maximum distance).
