ELECTRICAL SAFE WORKING PRACTICES

150-180 min.

The aim of the lesson is to enable the participants to be able to use electrical safe working practices to perform electrical work safely and reduce the risk of injury related to working around electricity in their daily work.

After having successfully completed this lesson, participants can:

Solve the challenge of how to select and use electrical safe working practices to reduce the risk of injury related to working around electricity in a WTG environment (Ability, basic level).

ELEMENT 4.1 - WORKING IN ACCORDANCE WITH AN APPROVED WORK INSTRUCTION

Learning objectives:

The participants can discuss the importance of always working in accordance with an approved work instruction (Knowledge, intermediate level). The participants show interest and willingness to ensure electrical work is always performed in accordance with an approved work instruction (Ability, basic level).

The instructor shall:

Facilitate group discussions with the participants about:

The importance of always working in accordance with an approved work instruction.

Participants´ responsibility in ensuring electrical work is always performed in accordance with an approved work instruction and examples of actions to ensure this. Note: An example of an action is to seek out an approved work instruction from e.g. a site lead or company representative, if this has not been provided, before initiating electrical work.

The participants shall:

Engage in the group discussions and share their experiences and attitudes to the importance of always working in accordance with an approved work instruction and their responsibility in ensuring electrical work is always performed in accordance with an approved work instruction.

The instructor shall:

Provide constructive feedback to the participants group discussions.
