Have you had a chance to visit the “new” Granny's yet? The space now boasts a seamless fusion of modern aesthetics and rustic charm. From the carefully selected furniture to the intricate detailing, every element of the redesign makes Granny's the perfect spot for golfers to gather and enjoy delicious food. USTA 3.5 55+ TEAM WINS STATE Congrats to Richland's 3.5 55+ USTA team on winning state in Knoxville in May! They will be representing Tennessee in the Southern Section in July in Little Rock, AR. Team: Kim Jones, Lori Pearce, Paula Hinegardner, Laura King, Joann Covington, Barb Morris, Beth Molteni, Nancy Rutherford, Marsha Simoneaux, Cheryl Byrd, and Laura Murak

MEMORIAL DAY ROUND ROBIN We had 40 players at this year's Memorial Day Round Robin! Thank you to everyone who joined us.

Sunday Pickleball Round Robin Coming Soon! eginning June 11 we will be offering pickleball round robin play on Sundays from 4-6PM in the tennis dome. Coach Lindy will be coordinating and teaching as needed. Signups are open to all levels. A variety of beverages will be offered. All registrations will be on the Tennis Calendar at richlandcc.com or the Richland app. The cost is $15 per person.

Richland Hosts GTL Pro League Again this year, Richland is hosting the premier summer tennis league on June 28 and August 2. This league is made up of former and current college players along with former touring pros. Two of Richland's pros, Dustin and Nico, compete each week in this league. Matches are singles & doubles and begin at 6pm, weather permitting.

As a Reminder Please remember to always be

considerate of others by playing without delay, practicing proper care for the golf course by filling divots with sand and repairing ball marks, and always dress appropriately. Gentlemen, shirttails are to remain tucked in and caps worn bill forward at all times.

RCC Four-Ball Championship JUNE 3-4

A two-person, 36-hole, better-ball tournament. The champion will be determined by the two-day net score. Male participants will play from the Blue tees, participants 65 years of age and older may play from the White tees, participants 75 years of age and older may play the Red tees. Female participants will play from the Red tees. All players’ handicaps will be adjusted according to USGA recommendations. Men will be allocated a maximum course handicap of 18 strokes, women 36 strokes. You may enter via ForeTees or by calling the Golf Shop. Senior Men's Member-Guest Tournament JUNE 21-23 Open to RCC golf members and guests 55 years of age and older, this two day event will be a fun alternative to Richland’s popular Tee Party. The format will be a two day, 36 hole, Stroke Play event featuring two formats. The first day will be a select drive “Shamble” and the second day will be a Four-Ball (Better Ball). The Champion will be the team returning the low aggregate net score over the 36 holes of competition. A gross winner and runner-up will also be recognized. The tournament field will be a maximum of 48 teams. Golf Members, check your email for more information.

Independence Day Tournament JULY 4

A two-person scramble Match Play Team tournament open to all adult members with golf privileges. Players may form their own two player teams or players may enter individually and players will be paired together. The field will be divided into two teams and we will play a Ryder Cup style team competition. Play will begin with a shotgun beginning at 9:30am. The entry fee is $75. Entry includes prizes, lunch and drinks on the course. You may enter via ForeTees or by calling the Golf Shop.

Ellen & Jimmy West

Dudley Jr. & Trish Smith Dudley Smith, Jr. is a Nashville native and the oldest son of Bob Dudley, Sr. and Jeanne Smith who have been members of Richland for 47 plus years. Trish Smith and Dudley met in 1994 while rollerblading at the Brentwood Skate Center and have now been married for 26 yrs and live with their 3 dogs on Cliftee Drive which is basically next door to Richland. Trish spent 14 yrs in her previous business life trading commodity futures but now enjoys volunteering for Agape Animal Rescue, working in her garden, and horseback riding. Dudley has been in the real estate community development business for 39 plus years. VOCE (located directly across the street from RCC) is an example of one of their communities were Land Innovations served as the development and project manager. Other companies Dudley continues to remain actively engaged in are CPS Land and Legend Homes. Hobbies include sailing, snow skiing, anything to do with art and looking at real estate. They are excited about being welcomed as new members and looking forward to utilizing Richland’s amazing amenities all within walking distance from their home.

Ellen and Jimmy were married in 2010 and have three children, Selma (8), Hansen (7), and Dorothy (7), who attend Christ Presbyterian Academy. Jimmy works for Stone Oak Builders and Ellen is a Nurse Practitioner at Otolaryngology Associates of Tennessee. They are active in West End Community Church and are very excited to be a part of the Richland community!

In Loving Memory

The Richland family mourns the passing of Kenneth Lee Groomes, an RCC Member for over 55 years. Kenneth was a part of the Board of Directors when the club was located off of West End. The Richland Board and Staff offer their deepest sympathy to his wife, Ludine Edwards, and his entire family and friends. Service will be held Saturday, June 3, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at the Woodlwan-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park.
