Meditation • AGES 18 AND UP Meditation is known for its benefits of helping people let go and move forward successfully through their journey. Our Meditation Series is structured to target several areas of life events and will cover topics of: Stress, Families, Anxiety, Mindful Living, Reconciliation, Emotions and more. Each week our Meditation instructor, Jitendra Desai, will speak about a new topic. You may sign up for one class at a time or the entire series. Jitendra will guide you through meditation to help you move forward in healing and how to handle and alleviate daily stress. Fort Hill Fitness members may receive a discount. It is an exercise program that can aid you throughout your life, helping with better posture, less back pain, serious and not-as-serious injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy and graceful aging. Classes emphasize balanced strength, breathing, flexibility, mind-body awareness and core strength. Participants have the choice to take this class in-person or virtually via Zoom. Tai Chi: Adult Instructional-Beginner • AGES 18 AND UP The Tai Chi Adult Instructional classes are not stand-alone classes and cannot be taken by themselves. They are designed to be taken in conjunction with a corresponding Practice class. These classes offer detailed instruction in the Form. Choose a companion Practice Class: Students registered for a Practice class wishing to learn the Form would select the corresponding Instructional class as follows: Beginning students registered for either Senior Level 1 Practice or Adult Beginner Practice should choose Adult Beginner Instructional. Senior Level 2 Practice class or Adult Intermediate Practice students should choose Adult Intermediate Instructional. Senior Level 3 Practice or Adult Advanced Practice students should choose Adult Advanced Instructional. Through breath/energy exercises such as Neigongs and Chi Gongs and a sequence of graceful, slow flowing movements called the Form, students will discover why, for centuries, many have practiced Tai Chi’s unique approach in providing balance and well-being. Choose a companion Instructional class; students who want to learn the movements of the Form in detail also should register for the applicable virtual Adult Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced Instructional class.
