Afternoon Enrichment • AGES 4-5 Afternoon Enrichment allows students to explore various learning topics in-depth. They engage in hands-on activities to expand their skill sets and the topics change each session. Participants will first meet for lunch and enjoy playtime with new friends, then they will go to their lab class. Afternoon Enrichment does not meet on days that preschool is not in session. ART Children use a variety of art mediums to create expressive art projects that align with stores, games, songs and finger plays. EARLY LITERACY Children are exposed to a wealth of books and stories. They are introduced to beginning literacy skills including letters, sounds and sight words through hands-on activities. A child’s love of reading is fostered in order to develop a life-long passion for books. MATH Through hands-on activities, children explore sorting, patterns, measuring, number recognition and more. SCIENCE Children explore the world of science by conducting hands-on experiments. Things get messy so please dress them appropriately. SOCIAL STUDIES Children explore different cultures and customs and learn beginning map skills. No class Feb. 8, 20, March 27, 29, April 3, 5. (sc)
