NAPERVILLE DANCE ACADEMY

Beginning with our littlest dancers in mind and progressing to all levels of Ballet, Hip Hop, Modern, Jazz, Tap and more, our classes are carefully constructed to provide effective learning environments that are fun and professional, technical and creative and taught by qualified, experienced instructors.

RECITAL CLASS WEEKS Monday, January 9- Saturday, May 27

The Naperville Dance Academy program consists of two areas:  Recital Dance: program culminates with our June dance recital  Seasonal Dance: non-recital, adult dance, specialty classes

Recital Dance Programs Register now for the 2023 season of recital dance programs! These classes run from January-May and participants perform in a dance recital. This year’s recital format will be seven mini shows over two days. Your child will be in one show on either Saturday, June 3 or Sunday, June 4. If your dancer is in multiple classes or you have multiple dancers in the program, they will be in different shows and possibly on different days. We unfortunately cannot accommodate sibling requests. At each show, all classes will run through a rehearsal followed by final performances. The show will run approximately 2 hours

MANDATORY PHOTOGRAPHY INFORMATION Class and individual photos will be taken. Your dancer's class will have a timeslot on one of the nights. If your dancer is in multiple classes or you have multiple dancers in the program they will have photography timeslots throughout the night and possibility on different nights. Dates: Wednesday, May 31 and/or Thursday, June 1, 2023 Time: Time slots will be between 4:10-9pm. Duration: Each time slot will be approximately 40 minutes Location: Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center A photography schedule and ordering details will be emailed in March 2023.

Parent observation opportunities will be held during the season. Please register at least one week prior to the class start date. Parents must attend a 5-minute mandatory meeting at their child’s first class. REHEARSAL AND PERFORMANCE INFORMATION Rehearsal/Recital Date: Saturday, June 3 or Sunday, June 4, 2023 Location: Pfeiffer Hall, 310 E. Benton Ave. Specific rehearsal and recital times and information will be given in April.

Dance Costume Information Included in the cost of the dance program is a nonrefundable dance costume fee. Students must be present at the first class to be measured for a costume. If your child cannot be present the first day please contact the Dance Coordinator at 630-848- 3618 or rmilan@napervilleparks.org before the session begins. Parents are responsible for alterations if needed. Exchanges will only be made if approved by the instructor and Dance Coordinator and communicated within three days of receiving the costume. Costumes will be distributed in class as they arrive .

Recital Dance Important Dates CLASSES START: Monday, January 9 CLASSES END: Saturday, May 27 NO CLASS: Saturday, March 11 (ARRCC classes only) Monday, March 27-Saturday, April 1 PARENT OBSERVATION: Monday, March 20-Saturday, March 25 and Monday, May 22-Saturday, May 27 Due to the continued growth of our program we are not able to offer make-up classes. Make-up classes for cancelled classes by the instructor will be decided on a class by class basis.
