Versatility Across Applications ROTO telehandlers aren’t just for lifting— they’re multi-functional workhorses. With a range of attachments, they can seamlessly transition into: • Cranes (with hooks and winches) • Aerial work platforms (with operator platforms) • Material handling solutions (with specialised booms) • Tree surgeons for safe removal of dying and hazardous trees Remote control allows operators to control turret operations from the ground or an operator platform, making them even more adaptable for diverse job site conditions. Why Contractors Choose Merlo Rotating Telehandlers Traditional telehandlers and cranes can be limiting in tight, complex workspaces. A Merlo ROTO eliminates these constraints by providing: • 360° rotation for superior reach and efficiency. • Higher lifting capacities and extended reach. • Multi-purpose functionality, replacing telehandlers, rough terrain cranes, and aerial work platforms with a single machine.
The Smart Investment For contractors navigating tighter deadlines, evolving regulations, and rising costs, investing in a Merlo ROTO telehandler means: • Increased productivity – up to 100% more efficiency compared to fixed telehandlers. • Reduced wear and tear on job sites due to minimal repositioning. • Greater versatility , allowing one machine to do the work of many. Whether renting or purchasing, a Merlo ROTO telehandler delivers unparalleled efficiency, safety, and adaptability, making it the ultimate lifting solution for today’s challenging construction environments. At bauma 2025, Merlo previewed an all-new ROTO range which will build on existing technology to deliver a host of new features set to increase safety and performance even further. The new range will be available in the UK in 2026.
3.Safety system operation: 10” screen for profile settings and movement limitations. Dual joystick operation: even with the left-hand joystick raised, in normal telehandler configuration, the right- hand joystick will still facilitate the slew function - ideal for pick-and-carry operations, maybe even taking materials to the lift site, when the operator may be in and out of the cab regularly. Customisation: the standard terminal allows users to set individual operator profiles. Different flow rates can be set to speed up or slow down certain functions and a movement limitation lock stop an operator accidently slewing into danger - improving precision and safety. Enhanced Safety Systems Advanced safety automation features: • Automatic stability recognition: If stabilisers aren’t fully extended – e.g. the area isn’t large enough for the legs to be fully extended, the machine recognises this and self-adjusts, restricting movement to the side where the legs are not fully deployed, preventing overload scenarios - a huge safety benefit • ASCS (Adaptive Safety Control System): A patented system that detects Merlo Treemme attachments via a headstock disc and dynamically adjusts load charts to prevent overloads.
