Jeremy was born in Jackson Hole, Wyo. and raised in The Tetons, Northern Utah, and Northern California. Surrounded by rugged country and wildlife, he was attracted to the natural world at an early age. On a trip to Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala when he was 10, he was introduced to a myriad of cultures, history, and languages in the Latin world. Inspired to learn more, Jeremy eventually studied History at Weber State University in Ogden, UT, continued traveling to Mexico and Central America, and spent as much time as possible outdoors. While attending graduate school for Linguistics at the University of Utah, he worked at Glacier Bay National Park, AK for several summers and fell in love with Southeast Alaska. Over the last 20 years, Jeremy has worked as a guide/naturalist in southeast Alaska and, over the last 10 years, he has worked in the Sea of Cortes as well. In 2018, Jeremy continued his interest in Latin culture by representing Uncruise Adventures in El Salvador teaching local youth guiding and kayaking skills. When not guiding in SE Alaska or Baja, Jeremy lives in Northern California and enjoys exploring the mountains, rivers, and ocean with his family.
