He is a frequent lecturer at the University of Houston, Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management, and the UNT College of Business and College of Hospitality Management. He currently sits on the board of directors for the UNT Alumni Association.

Steve A. Johnson (Zeta Upsilon 1979) A Texar- kana, TX native, Johnson attended UNT on a track scholarship and graduated in

1983 with a B. S. degree in Criminal Justice. He retired in 2015 as a U. S. Probation Officer in the Eastern District of Texas. Johnson is a charter member of the Denton Lewisville (TX) Alumni Chapter and currently serves as the chapter's Vice Polemarch and MTA Chairman.

Casey E. Thomas II (Zeta Upsilon 1992) A Dallas, TX native, Thomas currently represents District 3 on the Dallas City Council and was elected in 2018 as Mayor Pro Tem. He serves as Chair of the Housing and Homeless Solutions Committee, where he will lead the Council through a racial equity audit of the city's first comprehensive housing policy. He serves on the Public Safety Committee, where Thomas led the Council's effort to establish the Community Police Oversight Board. He earned a B.A. degree from UNT in Human Resource Management. While at UNT, Thomas was one of the school's Multicultural Center founders. He is a past president of the UNT Black Alumni Network (BAN). Thomas is a member of the Dallas (TX) Alumni Chapter.
