Q. What advice would you share to empower and inspire women starting out in the channel? A. In my leadership role for the Spectrum Partner Program, I am continuously learning, both personally and professionally, to ensure we can help our channel partners every step of the way. My advice is to seek a mentor, get involved in partner engagement events and volunteer at industry trade shows to learn the channel industry and meet new people. Take advantage of technical and career training to gain industry knowledge and improve confidence. Women can advance their careers by staying motivated to keep moving forward. This is very similar to when I’m training for a half marathon—I set a goal and motivate myself to achieve it. Working hard will help you develop personal grit, perseverance and courage. Q. Under your leadership, how are you advancing your company’s channel business? A: Our team focuses on educating partners on revenue opportunities with our managed services solutions, including Managed Network Edge, based on the Cisco Meraki platform, and Enterprise Network Edge, powered by Fortinet. Partners benefit from incremental sales opportunities as clients seek managed services and reliable connectivity solutions, such as Spectrum Business Internet, Fiber Internet Access and Ethernet services. We also recently expanded our cybersecurity portfolio with two additions to our managed network services, directly supporting the Managed Network Edge and Enterprise Network Edge platforms. Our partners can offer even more ways for organizations to address their business needs. Q. What can channel partners expect as key initiatives from the Spectrum Partner Program this year? A: We are expanding the Spectrum Partner Program to include Spectrum Community Solutions as partners can offer connectivity solutions for multi-tenant communities, in addition to realizing opportunities with Enterprise and SMB. Partners now have more ways to work with Spectrum and earn commissions. Additional key initiatives focus on growing managed services and recruiting more managed services providers (MSPs). We are focusing on elevating the partner experience through system enhancements with Salesforce Communities and PartnerLink, making it easier for partners to do business with us. Look for enhancements to our Partner Portal and Partner Relationship Management (PRM) platform and serviceability tools. Inspirational Women’s Leadership Conversation With Michelle Kadlacek
