WORLD BOOK DAY
The Junior School embraced World Book Day 2016 with vigour. With staff dressed as mermaids, Captain Jack Sparrow(s), Poseidon, and an Octopus – the boys’ costumes had a lot to live up to. Our parade with Year 3, 4 and 5 boys was a riot of swashbuckling and nautical accoutrements. The sun shone and a marvellous charity cake sale raised over £250. A superb professional storyteller ran workshops for each Year Group, and Year 6 went on a nautical themed quest organised by Mrs Lucy Keeper of the Archives, discovering the piratic activities of Drake, Grenville and Raleigh’s mistakes. What a wonderful day.
