Junior Alleynian 2016

EVENTS Founder's Day Founder’s Day 2016 celebrated the momentous year of 1616. This year saw the deaths of Philip Henslowe, William Shakespeare and the consecration of Christ’s Chapel of God’s Gift, an event that effectively marked the birth of the new Dulwich College. The Junior School celebrated the day with a high quality art exhibition in the Edward Alleyn Theatre foyer, the final performance of the much heralded Year 3 play, and a vast array of Year 6 stalls. The day culminated with a picnic, concert and spectacular fireworks. It was a fantastic day though Dr. Griffiths was left with a bitter taste in his mouth when some unnamed Year 6 boys made him eat 11 marshmallows and five sour sweets in one mouthful!
