NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES SUMMARY OF SERVICES
The Neighborhood Services Division is responsible for administering and enforcing a wide variety of City codes related to housing, property maintenance, and public nuisances. Additionally, the team pursues an active outreach program to work with citizens to enhance the appearance and safety of all neighborhoods in Irvine. The Division provides assistance to residents seeking information on housing-related services and affordable housing opportunities; manages the Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnerships Act; contracts for public services programs and capital improvement projects; administers lease agreements for City-owned property; and investigates and resolves code violations. Accomplishments Established Neighborhood Services Division and launched the One Irvine neighborhood preservation program Completed 10 residential developments adding 814 new affordable housing units, increasing the City’s affordable inventory to 4.5 percent of total Citywide housing supply Fully implemented networked mobile devices for Code Enforcement to inspect, evaluate, and take corrective action more quickly resulting in improved customer service and productivity
