PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT SERVICES SUMMARY OF SERVICES

The Planning and Development Services Division oversees all current and long-range planning programs for the City. This division is responsible for processing all development applications, and planning and zoning of new villages. The division also provides support to the Planning Commission, Zoning Administrator, Subdivision Committee, and City Manager’s Office. The division implements the standards in the General Plan and Zoning Code and maintains the City’s land use databases. Accomplishments  Completed the entitlement of 3,700 residential rental and for sale units for Los Olivos. Building permit activity and construction is on-going  Final planning approval for 1,060,000 square feet of new office campus at the Spectrum Terrace. Vertical construction is on-going  Completed residential entitlement in the IBC and continuing to implement IBC infrastructure and place making improvements  Processed entitlement of 330 affordable rate units and 1,572 market rate units in Great Park Neighborhoods  Completed the first phase of the General Plan update including “check-in” presentation with Commissions and Council
