SENIORS SUMMARY OF SERVICES

Senior Services offers a wide range of programs at Lakeview Senior Center, Rancho Senior Center and the Trabuco Center, including health and recreation classes, educational workshops, and nutrition and support services. The Lakeview Senior Center includes the Keen Center for Senior Services, which offers information and assistance services to seniors and their families. Staff supports the Irvine Senior Citizens Council, which serves as the advisory body to the City Council on matters pertaining to older adults.

Accomplishments 

Grant Funding: A federal grant received through the County of Orange Office of Aging provides annual funding of more than $400,000 to support five senior programs: congregate lunches, home-delivered meals, In-home services, case management, and nutrition transportation.  Donations: Received a private donation of $120,000 to update the Rancho Fitness Center and support outreach services to vulnerable seniors.  Volunteer Program: More than 600 volunteers support Senior Services programs annually.
