OPEN SPACE & AGRICULTURE PROGRAMS SUMMARY OF SERVICES
Manage the City’s open space land in compliance with the Central and Coastal Orange County Natural Community Conservation Plan and General Plan. Develop and implement public programs that facilitate public usage, highlight habitat protection, restoration, and agriculture cultivation. This section also manages the agriculture programs at the Orange County Great Park.
Accomplishments Preservation of Open Space: Deployed “Fire Watch” services on 12 high-risk days. Open Space and Agriculture Programs: Offered more than 800 workshops and classes to the public on an annual basis. Volunteer Program: More than 4,300 volunteers per year support the Open Space and Agriculture programs.
