Expenditure Transfers-out include:

 $2 million for the pension pay down plan to continue reducing the unfunded liabilities and help stabilize and mitigate future pension costs (further information on the City’s Pension Paydown Plan can be found in the Strategic Business Plan Chapter).  $4 million in direct support to Irvine’s schools.  Approximately $5 to $7 million a year for landscape, lighting, and park maintenance at neighborhood and community parks citywide from the General Fund. The remaining program cost (approximately $13.9 million) is funded by assessments to property owners, property tax, and miscellaneous revenues.  Approximately $500,000 annually to support senior programs such as the home delivered meal program, nutrition transportation, and in-home services.
