CLUBS TASMANIA

Clubs Tasmania vision Clubs Tasmania is committed to helping community clubs remain viable and sustainable. Funded by the State Government (2019-2022 and now through to 2025), our platform over the next 12 -18 months is to support clubs and volunteers by: • Representing the interests of the sector, advocating to Government and providing a trusted voice for the grassroots community club sector • Ensuring the sector is kept informed with access to timely and tailored advice, webinars and teleconferences on issues that matter to community clubs • Encouraging clubs to use technology to reduce the workload on volunteers and manage finances effectively • Engaging with the sector, delivering regional workshops and forums in your region that allow us to listen to club staff, volunteers and maintain relationships with Government, Communities, Sport and Recreation and State Sporting Organisations • Dedicating to supporting a volunteer workforce with referral to education, training and existing Government services that upskill the sector (grant funding, mentoring, strategic planning and digital ready resources). • Assisting community clubs to access a suite of corporate partners and Government services that reduce costs and increase revenue. • Promoting a platform of ‘thinking differently’ so community clubs can rebound from Covid-19, changing demographics and remain viable and sustainable.

Engagement Our engagement in 2021 has extended to community forums, workshops, seminars and a well-attended conference. Thank you to all those volunteers and paid staff who made time to come and help us identify priorities for the sector and ways we can help: • strong governance • effective financial management • inclusion and diversity • infrastructure that supports increased participation and viable and sustainable clubs • timely advice and support when faced with a challenge, problem or dilemma Stay tuned for our 2022 Strategic Plan that we will launch at the State Sporting Organisation luncheon with Minister for Racing, Sport and Recreation Jane Howlett on Tuesday 21 December.
