Hospitality Review - December 2021

CLUBS TASMANIA

In 2021, we have been advocating for Learn to Swim to be added to the Ticket to Play Program andClubsTasmania applauds the commitment of the Tasmanian Liberal Government to improving water safety across the State. Since including Learn to Swim in the Ticket to Play Program, 10 Learn to Swim centres have set up to redeem Ticket to Play vouchers (eight of the centres are in Hobart, with another on the West Coast and at SWIRL in Smithton) Learning to swim offers children a wide range of aquatic activities to enjoy, including swimming, sailing, boating, surfing and fishing and will support sporting clubs, Scouts, Guides and Cadets.

Ticket to Play vouchers are available for children aged five to 18 listed on a valid Centrelink Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card or who are in Out of Home Care. We encourage swim centres/providers to contact Department of Communities, Sport and Recreation to enquire about registering as an Approved Activity Provider at: tickettoplay@communities.tas.gov.au Please reach out to Clubs Tasmania Project Manager, Andrew Moore at andrew@tha.asn.au or phone 1300 125 827 if you think we can help.
