The Bible Institute—The Need
Because Of the command of the Lord to give the Gospel to every creature. In order that this command may be carried out, it is essential that men and women be trained in the knowledge and use of the Word of God. The present conditions in our own land demand as never before that large numbers of men and women should be supplied as evangelists, pastors in neglected fields, pastors’ assistants, Sunday School work, etc. With all of the means now in operation for supplying this need, it is impossible to meet calls for service in the various branches of Christian work in this and other lands, making obvious the great need of Schools of the Bible, where such training can be acquired in its entirety—yet in its simplicity—without being contaminated with modern Biblical criticism and infidelity. Of the necessity of a practical workshop where this training can be accompanied by practical experience in the use of the Word with saved and unsaved people. Purpose First: The training, free of cost, of men and women to KNOW and USE the Bible for service in any field to which the Lord may call them; and Second: Engaging in definite, aggressive work among the unevangelized in this and other lands. Policy T o maintain fraternal relations with all evangelical denominations which continue true to the fundamentals. To persist in an uncompromising presentation of the pure Gospel. Support The Institute has never made any canvass of the churches for funds, nor has it asked any pastor to take an offering in its behalf. It does not receive any support from Denominational Boards, nor from any organization. It operates independently, re ceiving its gifts from individuals.
