THE K I NG ' S BUS I NESS for sure that this same Jesus, whom you have crucified, is the Saviour that was to come into the world. Now when the people heard these words which Peter had preached unto them, they were filled with sorrow for what they had done, and they asked Peter and the other dis­ ciples, what they should do. Peter told them they must be sorry for their sins, and be baptized, and that God would forgive them and send His Holy Spirit upon them also, and ^to all who would follow Jesus and do what He tells them to do in His word, the Bible. Then a great number of the people who heard Peter s sermon, believed on Jesus and Ac. 3:1-16. (Read Ac. 3; Isa. 35.) (1) Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour or prayer, being the ninth hour. (2) And a certain man lame from his mo* ther s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms af . that entered into the temple: W Who seeing Peter and John about temple, asked an alms. (4) And Peter, fastening his eyes upon mm, with John, said, Look on us. (5) And he gave heed unto them, expect- 111 to receive something of them. (6) Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee* In the name of Jesus Christ of Naz- areth nse up and walk. (7) And he took him by the right hand, and lifted Him up: and immediately his feet and . ancle bones received strength. (8) And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, and praising . mbm And all the people saw him walking and praising God: (10) And »^ey knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with Introduction. A year perhaps has passed. The beautiful scene of the early church Is to be broken. Persecution is to come to it as it came to Him. This is the Aan?

All these people who believed on Jesus met together with the disciples, and went to the temple to worship, and they met together in each other’s homes, and were very happy, be­ cause they had taken. Jesus as their Saviour. These people told others about Jesus, and every day other peo­ ple believed on Jesus and were saved. Let us say our memory verse together. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. Closing Prayer.— Our dear heavenly Father we thank Thee for Jesus, and help us to love Thee and serve Thee every day.
