drop in unannounced. None of us will probably ever see such wealth. But what does it all mean today? Have you ever stopped to realize that as believ ers in the Lord Jesus Christ we have riches of inestimably more value? For instance, how much money does it take to buy happiness and contentment? What’s the price of satisfaction and hope? Think of the assurance of heart in knowing that we have been pur chased at the infinite price of the pre cious blood of Jesus Christ. He will ingly gave His life that we might be with Him for all eternity. As a result, the Saviour is preparing our eternal mansions, buildings not made with hands, established in the heavens where moth and rust cannot corrupt. (The sea air doesn’t tarnish nor taxes erode away capital.) The Lord hasn’t in formed us as to the time of His specific return, but rather He exhorts us to wait, to look, earnestly to watch for His coming. COUNTING TRUE VALUES There’s an interesting and penetrat ing verse that declares: “Four thousand for my brand-new car, Ten thousand for a piece of sod; Twenty thousand I paid to begin a house, But a dollar I gave to God! A tidy sum to entertain my friends in pointless chatter. And when the world goes crazy mad, I ask, ‘Lord, what’s the matter.’ ” How easy it is in a affluent society such as this to allow the driving and compelling forces of the world to cause us to lose our vision of the Lord. God help us to take a better grasp, a truer sense of eternity’s values! Thats the only things that will last. May we do as Scripture has enjoined us to redeem the time knowing that the days are evil. For what shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world, but lose his own soul? Don’t expect your child to practice what you have failed to live out in daily existence.

flourishing business operated in New York City. The name of the company is the Inter-planetary Development Corporation. If you want to get in on the speculation, a few dollars will pur chase an acre. Quite frankly, most Christians cherish little hope of bene fiting from property on the moon. But in all reality, as children of God we have strong claims on real estate in space. That to which we hold title is far more valuable than any acreage on the cold waste spaces of the moon. The whole universe will be our playground, and Heaven itself, with the Lord, our Home. They are to be pitied who scoff derisively saying that eternal life is a hoax, or that the only Heaven man experiences is whatever pleasure he can get out of life on earth. In these trou bled times, our hearts are assured and unshakable as we rest in the promises of the Lord Jesus Christ who said, “I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” THE CHRISTIAN’S CASTLE Probaby very few, if any of our lis teners have ever dwelt in a palace—a place like the famed Hearst Castle in San Simeon, California. Back in 1925 William Randolph Hearst, the news paper publisher, purchased this monu mental mansion over in Great Britain. The cost was about $100,000, which would be a mere pittance today. He proceeded to spend several million dol lars refurbishing the castle, putting in an 18 hole golf course, a swimming pool, and his own private beach, to mention but a few of the status sym bols. In the intervening years the rec ords show that he made relatively few visits to the estate, although during that time a complete staff of workers kept the castle in readiness, even to the extent of having full course meals pre pared just in case he might possibly 28 When a fellow falls in love with him self, it Is certain he won’t have any competition.
