Making the most of human resources

In 2021, we provided 1,801 hours of training, 63% more than the 662 hours in 2020 , an average of 17 hours per worker . The courses covered both job-re- lated areas and soft skills building. The significant increase in training hours compared to 2020 can be attributed to our decision to capitalise on the possi- bility of distance learning that became available as a result of the Covid-19 emergency. During 2021, our workers were able to take advantage of numerous optional courses, including courses in English, Ex- cel, digitisation and leadership.

Training is essential for people to grow. The Human Resources Department coordinates its organisation. Its future goals include improving management of this aspect by setting up a structured process to identify a training plan that takes into account the needs of individuals, precise monitoring of the hours of training completed and an assessment of overall effectiveness. And because our staff are pas- sionate about the world of wine, regardless of what they do in the business, we offer them free partic- ipation in the course run by the Italian Sommelier Association (AIS) so they can obtain their somme- lier’s diploma.
