ISEO SUMMER SCHOOL

Since 2003, we have been supporting the I.S.E.O. Institute (Institute of Economic and Employment Studies) founded in 1998 by Prof. Fran- co Modigliani (1985 Nobel Prize in Economics) and today chaired by Prof. Robert Solow (1987 Nobel Prize in Economics). This non-prof- it association is based in Iseo and promotes analysis and discussion on the world economy. Since 2004, it has organised an International Summer School, reserved for graduate students of Economics and Social Sciences from all over the world. The summer school runs on the shores of Lake Iseo in June each year and concludes with a gala evening in the halls of Palazzo Lana Berlucchi. The 2021 edition was the first to be held entirely online and was attended by Nobel Prize winners in Economics Angus Deaton, Michael Kremer, Michael Spence and Joseph Stiglitz. Since it was not possible to organise the customary gala dinner hosted at Palazzo Lana due to the health situ- ation related to Covid-19, we sent all the participants a bottle of Fran- ciacorta Berlucchi '61 and then organised a virtual tasting session to involve all the participants in an immersive experience that would give them a taste of the real Franciacorta.
