B IFA welcomes the recent announcement by the Department for Transport (DfT) regarding an £18 million funding boost for the Plug-in Truck Grant. The funding signi fi cantly increases the discounts available for businesses looking to transition their fl eets to zero-emission vehicles. Savings up to £120,000 Effective immediately, the grant levels have been raised to help offset the higher upfront costs of eHGVs. The discounted rates are scheduled to remain in place until
funding roadmap that replaces short-term windows with long- term stability. While BIFA acknowledges the current funding is short term, it welcomes this additional support for its Members and the broader logistics industry in adopting sustainable initiatives to navigate the transition to a lower carbon future.
