Not gonna lie… Sometimes I need a pep talk. So instead of waiting for one, I wrote it myself because I have a feeling this might apply to everyone. Dear Me, I’m writing this to remind you of something you forget when the world gets loud: you were whole before anyone else showed up, and you will be whole no matter who stays or leaves. You don’t need permission to exist, to rest, to dream, or to take up space. You don’t need to earn love by being smaller, quieter, easier, or more convenient. You don’t need someone else’s hands to steady you...look at how far you’ve already walked on your own. You have carried yourself through nights no one clapped for. You have survived heartbreaks you never announced. You have rebuilt from pieces and still found room for kindness. That is not luck. That is you. I love how you keep going even when you’re tired. I love how you feel deeply but refuse to let bitterness win. I love how you choose growth over comfort, truth over illusion, peace over proving. You don’t need to be cho- sen...you choose yourself. You don’t need to be saved...you already survived. You don’t need to be completed...there is nothing missing. There were chapters you thought would last forever. They didn’t. Well, that was fun. And then you kept going..wiser, lighter, still standing. If someone walks beside you some- day, let it be because they add warmth, not be- cause you were cold. Let it be because they admire your light, not because you forgot you had it. Promise me this: When doubt creeps in, you will come back to yourself. When loneliness whispers lies, you will answer with truth. When the world tries to define your worth, you will gently refuse. You are enough on your own. You always have been. You always will be.
