Fawcett's Elm Creek Ranch - Annual Hereford & Angus Bull & Female Sale [2/9/26]

Welcome! On behalf of the entire crew at Fawcett’s Elm Creek Ranch, we want to welcome you to our annual production sale! We appreciate your consideration and trust in our program. We work hard with our customers to produce some of the most sought after breeding heifers, feeder cattle and herd bulls in the country. We want all cattle producers to excel and we belive that if we work together we can expect a great future in the cattle industry. The bulls that we will be selling represent two different calving intervals meaning we run two different cow herds, one at the north end of the ranch and one at the south. The north end of the ranch calve in February through March and the bulls produced from this group of cows are what make up the yearling bulls in the sale. The cows running the south end of the ranch calve the end of March through the end of May and the bulls produced by these cows are the two-year-old bulls in the sale. The yearling bulls are weaned in October, processed and started on a mild grower ration to ensure longevity. The two-year-old bulls selling leave the yards and go to pasture as soon as the grass has greened up and stay out on a section of pasture in the hills with zero supplement throughout the summer until mid fall when we bring them in closer and begin feeding them for the sale. The strong survive when we talk about the two-year-olds as they are on their own from May until October. We run our operation with the same expectations as any good commercial operation and that is to keep inputs to a bare minimum and demand maximum output. These cattle have to be easy fleshing, sound structured, great footed and are to be able to raise a calf that will push down the scale in the fall with a minimal labor force. We search out the best herd bulls in the breed to ensure our customers have access to breed leading genetics. Horned or polled, if you are seeking to raise feeder cattle that demand a premium, bulls to raise top replacements, genetics to incease the value of your purebred operation or to simply add longevity and profit margins then FECR is your source for the rancher’s kind. If you are unable to be here in person to view the bulls please call any of us to discuss them and we will help you get what you are after. We have seen many changes across the industry and amidst our personal lives as many of you have as well. We lost two generations of leaders here within a short period of time. Grandpa Robert with his quiet demeanor and deep passion for family and socializing with who ever was within his reach. My dad Keith who passed away too early in life. He leaned on me for my eye of seeing quality cattle and mating decisions/herd bull selection since my teenage years. What hasn’t changed is the direction of this cow herd. We continue with creating the momma cow that can last and survive in the most demanding scenarios, first. The results are herd bulls that can go anywhere and make a positive impact. My goal is to continue the legacy of this ranch and to be sure its strong for the generations to follow. A simple goal but not an easy one to accomplish. With great prices it is an exciting time to be in the cattle business on the producer level. There is no better time than now to get the best genetics you can to get a premium on the already rewarding prices. QUALITY COUNTS Again, from all of us at Fawcett’s Elm Creek Ranch thank you for your consideration. Fawcett’s Elm Creek Ranch
